Leon coronavirus update: 184 total cases, more than half in three zip codes

2020欧洲杯正规平台Leon County now has 184 confirmed cases of the coronavirus, according to the Florida Department of Health.

DOH added seven new cases to Leon County's count in its Monday morning update. By evening, DOH added one more to the total.

2020欧洲杯正规平台The youngest of the new cases is a 26-year-old man with an unknown history of travel. Two of the new cases belong to a man and a woman, both 81 years old.

So far, the youngest case overall in Leon County's data is a 2-year-old boy. The oldest is an 86-year-old woman.

In Leon County, more than half of all local cases are within three zip codes.

DOH breaks down its coronavirus data by county and zip code.

2020欧洲杯正规平台In Monday morning's report, DOH added one case to Leon County's number of positives in long-term care facilities, bringing the total to 65. But by Monday evening, the count was back down to 64.

In Leon County, 25 people have been hospitalized because of the virus. This number remains fixed, as the state does not report when someone is released from the hospital.

2020欧洲杯正规平台Despite the newly reported cases, many of Leon County's tests have come back negative so far, with 2,513 total tests administered, 184 positives, 2,327 negative and two inconclusive tests.

Separately, seven tests are pending, according to the department.

Elsewhere in north Florida, Madison County saw two new cases added overnight. One person is an 89-year-old man, and the other is an 80-year-old man. DOH reports numbers for long-term care facilities as "residents or staff," although it is likely that both of these new cases are residents.

2020欧洲杯正规平台Gadsden County also recorded seven cases in its county total, bringing it to 57 confirmed positives.

2020欧洲杯正规平台Outside Leon County, 17 staffers in prisons have tested positive for the coronavirus, according to the Florida Department of Corrections' data. Five of these stem from Apalachee Correctional Institution, located roughly 45 minutes outside Tallahassee.
